I don’t usually do makeup “tutorials”
on my blog simply because I’m not that good in applying eye makeup! I’m still
struggling with it and I’ve recently mastered the eyeliner technique but only
with a felt tip eyeliner pen! However, I’ve been incorporating a lot more
colour to my everyday makeup and, since I’ve noticed it has become a trend, I
thought I’d share with you how to wear some of the latest summertime trends.
Today I’m going to show you a look that I wear a lot, super easy and very
bright, with mint and periwinkle on the eyes and shiny coral on the lips!

Get Summer Ready: Coloured Mascara Makeup Trend 3 Looks
Another popular makeup
trend that’s been going around this summer is coloured mascara. I was browsing
the Sephora stand the other day and I found the Full Action mascara in a
beautiful turquoise colour and I succumbed to the trend! Today I’ll show you 3
looks that you can create with coloured mascara, it doesn’t have to be green, I just find that this colour really
compliments my eye colour.

Get Ready for Summer: Update your Skincare
When the weather heats up
you gladly pack up your baggy sweaters and put them up in the closet where you
can’t see them and switch them for tank tops and cute little shorts and
dresses. You trade your boots for your, not so comfy, sandals and your comforting
duvet for soft linen. What you also need to change up when the weather starts
heating up is your skin and body care.

Get Summer Ready: Bronze Up Safely with SPF
What is the number one
essential during summer? What is your number one priority to apply on your face
and body before you leave the house? Or should be at least? Well, you
guessed it right! Sunscreen or sunblock! Everybody is talking about how damaging
the sun rays can be for your skin and that you should be safe under the sun and
avoid it at specific hours that it can get more harmful for you. So, in order to
be prepared for summer you need to stock up on sunscreens! And you need to toss
away last year’s leftovers because they’re expired. Every sunscreen has got a
label on it that indicates how long you can keep it for, and mostly that period
is 12 months. Applying an expired sunscreen will not cause you any skin issues, however the SPF indicator just falls down to almost zero. So if you’ve got a
sunscreen lotion that you opened last summer and it says it’s SPF 50, now that
it’s expired it’s probably close to 10. Let’s dig in my picks for this summer the, shall we?

Get Summer Ready: Bikini Body Tips
This is the season that we
concentrate more on our body and take care of it and that’s why we call it ‘bikini
body’ season! It’s when we’re finally off to the beach and show a lot more
skin in our bathing suits. Talking about showing your skin, today I will concentrate on tips on how
to deflate your belly and feel a bit more comfortable when at the beach instead
of hiding under your towel!

Get Summer Ready: From the inside out
I thought I’d start a
series of how to get ready for summer! Having the right products to accompany
you to the beach or getting fit now that we’re showing a lot more skin or
updating your makeup bag with summer appropriate products. Today I’m starting
the series with a post about cleansing your body and getting summer ready from the inside
out!

Hair removal methods
Let’s touch a very
sensitive subject; hair removal! Who
likes body hair anyway? Why do they grow on you? Well, there is a very specific
reason for that, scientifically speaking, but we don’t want them on us! Being a
woman, you need to find the best ways to get rid of the unwanted hairs all over
your body, and sometimes face, and since summer is here, especially in Greece,
you need hair free, glowy skin to head out to the beach. Below you will get
ideas about what I find effective and affordable that you can do at home!

Review: Dior Airflash CC Primer
Today I present to you a
high end product. In succession to the BB cream hype come the CC creams, as in
Colour Correcting creams. I’ve definitely jumped onto the BB cream bandwagon
and the world of the newly launched CC creams is rather intriguing to me. The
Dior Airflash is more a primer than your average CC cream, which excites me even
more! Let’s see what the product can do for your complexion and whether it would
suit you or not!

April Favourites 2014
April is over? What the…?
Easter holidays are already gone? Oh come on! It feels like only yesterday that
I was longing for my Easter leave from work and, oh man, I got a loooong one! I
was absent from work for a whole two weeks, my brother came home from Germany and
the whole family got reunited at my parents’ house, where I spent most of my
holidays! This year’s highlight was that we had my niece with us, who is now
almost 3 months old, and she’s started smiling to us and figuring out the world
around her! Sadly, she as well is moving to Germany in June, so I have the
whole May planned with weekend trips to get to see her as much as I can. As I
was on holiday, I experimented with make-up a lot and today I’m presenting you
the ones that got mostly loved during the past month.

Review: Maybelline Color Elixir
The Maybelline Color Elixir is a product that
made the earth shake under the feet of the beauty bloggers in the countries it’s
already available, like the US and the UK. It is a hybrid product, meaning it
offers the pigmentation of a lipstick, the shine of a gloss and the moisture of
a lip balm. That’s what it is marketed for at least! Let’s see in detail.

How to pack for a flight
Recently I came back from
a business trip in Russia where I stayed for two weeks. You all know what a long
business trip to a foreign country means right? No? Well, at least for me, it
means a plethora of flights around the country to visit every little city
possible once you made the effort to get there! So that itinerary had 10
flights in total, including two 8 hour ones from one part of Russia to the
other! Sweet isn’t it? I believe this time I’ve mastered the packing situation, so I present you today with my top tips especially if you plan to catch a flight to your
destination.

Review: Fusion Beauty UltraFlesh Shinebox
Today I have collaborated
with Strawberrynet.com and I will be reviewing a highlighter palette. I have
never done a collaboration with a website before and to be honest I did know
the existence of the site but have never purchased anything from them. However,
as I’ve read good reviews and experiences from people that have bought things
from there, I thought I’d go for it.

After I’ve found the best

been on the hunt for a nail polish basecoat to double the power! And it seems
like I’ve found it!

Review: Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Cream Gel Eyeshadow
Today I’ll be talking to you about an over hyped
product. No, I’m not late to the party, it just never occurred to me to write a
post about them since there are so many reviews out there. However, since I
expanded my collection of them and got some shades worth mentioning and worth
swatching I thought I’d write about them.

My morning skincare routine
Today I wanted to share
with you my morning skincare routine. I have been using this products for long enough
to know that they suit and benefit my skin. Of course I do get the breakouts, I
suffer from hormonal acne and I have noticed that my skin is at its best the
week after I get my period and the week after ovulation, for the rest of the
month I struggle with those white heads and cystic acne. However, these
products have made my skin smoother and they have helped loads with
hyperpigmentation that goes hand in hand with acne!

Top 10 Spring Nail Polishes
Spring is here… Spring is
actually here… It’s SPRING time everybodyyyyy! Excuse me for a sec, I need to
jump around in my living room and do a small dance session! It’s not that I
necessarily love spring, it’s that I get very bored and tired of gloomy weather
and rain and heavy clothing and boots, etc. It’s the change that I like, I
act the exact same way when autumn is at our doorstep! Today I gathered my top
10 favourite nail polishes for this time of year that will get your spirits up
and go well along with your brighter clothing and makeup!

Baking Post: Nutella Caramel Cookies
Another Baking Post today
and this time I’m sharing with you a cookie recipe. They are the most chocolat-y cookies in the history of cookies, I
swear! They are crunchy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. It’s a
delicious combination of chocolate chips, nutella and caramel all
blended in one! It’s not a difficult one, I’d say it’s kind of easy since you
don’t need any hand mixer; just a pan and an oven to bake them in!

Taking the Acne train Vol.II Before & After Pictures Included
It has been almost 10
months since my last post about acne (you can read Vol.I here) and I have noticed that lots of you were
interested on the topic. A lot has changed since then; I’ve finished my Adaferin
treatment and I’ve changed my skincare a lot, as well as my way of thinking.

The Elite of Moisturisers for Combo/Oily Skin
Since my hormonal acne
reappeared after 10 years and after several prescriptions including Accuran, I’ve
been searching for a good moisturiser targeted for oily/combination skin (you
can read how it all started here and there is a Vol.II coming up soon with before
& after pictures and everything). Before, my bathroom cabinet had only one
cream that I used sparingly. Now my cabinet is full of different brands and
formulas in a quest to find the one that suits me best for different purposes.

Seche Vite Dupe?
Today we are talking about
a HG product: Seche Vite top coat. Everyone and their cat is using this after
applying nail polish in order to have shiny, dry-in-a-minute nails. We are not
going to argue about whether the Seche Vite is worth the money or the hype; if
you ask me it definitely is. However, if you are on a budget there are
alternatives that you can use and probably do almost the same job! Is the China
Glaze top coat one of them?

Review: L'oreal Glamshine Stain Splash or Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain
Judging from this post’s
title you might think I’m indecisive! However, don’t you think L’oreal makes it
a bit confusing for us when they launch a product and give them a different
name in Europe and another in the US? Having said that I’ve bought mine from
Russia before they launched in Europe and I don’t even want to know what they
might call them there! So, a lip gloss product that promises you a 6 hour hydration
and a staying power of a stain, huh?

Brand Introduction: Michael Todd True Organics & Giveaway
Michael Todd True Organics
is a brand that has got a lot of hype through YouTube and the Blogoshere. They
are a company that makes skincare for all different skin types with 70% organic
ingredients. I got drawn to it after YouTubers' reviews about their acne/blemish
skincare regime. I was very skeptical about the “organic” idea of the line
since I am a person that has treated acne with Accuran and strong prescriptions and have never looked at the ingredient list of any skincare products because the harsher
the chemicals the better the results (!). I was definitely never a believer that natural
products and oils can ever make the slightest difference if you don’t follow
any prescription. Well, these products have changed my way of thinking and my
attitude towards natural products. They have made a huge change to my skin and
I’m kind of happy that I only use natural products to treat my problem
areas without inserting any chemicals into my body. Let’s see the products one
by one and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each.

my fiancé has already asked me out!

The Battle of Hair Oils
Last year I feel that we were bombarded with oils for haircare and skincare. We shifted from the belief that using oils will make your hair or face greasy and dry oils entered our lives. Each brand started making their own and here I am with four of them to let you know how I use them and which one I believe does the best job for my hair.

Review: Rimmel London Apocalips
Rimmel London is one of my
favourite drugstore brands. Not only because they make the best mattifying
powder ever (aka Stay Matte Powder for those of you who have been living under
a rock lately) but also because they seem to follow the beauty updates very
closely with great launches every now and then making us non UK based beauty
bloggers counting down the days until the product hits feelunique.com or
asos.com. This time they did it again with the Apocalips; epic name, isn’t it?

Favourites January 2014
I can’t believe the first
month of 2014 is already gone! At the moment that I’m writing this post I got
the news that my niece was born, so excuse the fact that I might not be making
any sense throughout!!! So we got through the most depressing month of the year
according to scientists. They say it is because of the post-holiday season and all the
resolutions that we make that we feel very stressed and depressed this month.
But we got through it alright, didn’t we? Let’s dig in what products I’ve been
loving this month then!

Review: Maybelline The Rocket Mascara
Are mascaras the most
controversial thing on the blogosphere or is that just my impression? In my
opinion, whether a mascara will suit you or not is as subjective as foundation.
There are so many types of wands and formulas out there that promise you huge eyelashes
no matter what. Today I’m going to get into deep about a very well hyped one
the Maybelline’s The Rocket Mascara.

Brand Intorduction: EVDERMIA
Today we are going to talk
about skincare! I was introduced to the brand EVDERMIA by my dermatologist who
prescribed a mask by them and after seeing the wonderful results I deided to
contact them to see where I could get some samples of the creams they do. They
were so kind to send me some full size products and now I have a broader
opinion about the brand in general rather than a single product. It is a Greek
brand, targeted to acne and hair loss mainly, and you can find their products
only in pharmacies/online pharmacies. Most pharmacies do not stock them so you
might need to pre-order them. Below you can read the reviews for each individual
product which have helped my acne prone skin loads.
