MUA Palettes

A new brand that I tried in November was MUA. I’ve heard so many bloggers and youtubers internationally raving about their palettes. There’s a rumour going on out there that their Undressed Palette is very similar to the Naked 2 Palette by Urban Decay, with the price being way too different; £4 opposed to £36!

I personally didn’t cave in and didn’t buy the Urban Decay one. I find no reason to have a palette that expensive when I can get exactly the same effect with something affordable. I bought two palettes from MUA. The ‘Heaven and Earth’ and the ‘Dusk till Dawn’ ones. I was really impressed. 

Most of the colours, I can’t say all of them as you can see at the swatches below, have awesome pigmentation, and the staying power is amazing. I found a way to work with the not-that-pigmented ones by wetting the brush and they are just as good. I wear them in the morning when I go to work and they are untouched in the evening when I remove my make-up. No touch ups, nothing. The texture is very soft and creamy and they are very blendable. I find myself mostly reaching for the Heaven and Earth one because there are more natural shades and they are perfect for everyday looks. I mix up two colours, put eyeliner on and I’m ready to go! The Dusk till Dawn has amazing shades as well, everything you need from matte to sparkly, for the perfect smokey eye.

I believe these palettes were worth mentioning for anyone out there who hasn’t yet tried them and still wastes money on the overpriced one! They have 12 different shades in them, which I guess can last you for ages, they are only £4 (such a bargain) and there’s always an offer going on on their website and you can have them even cheaper. MUA is my new addiction, I’ve confessed!
