What's in my Travel Makeup Bag

Last week I came bag from another business trip, a short one this time! We were touring around nothern Greece for seminars and while I was packing my makeup bag I took some photos for you to see what I picked to travel with me!

I never go on a trip without my trusted Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation because it gives me so much coverage that I can rest assured that no matter how much I break out throughout the trip this one will save the day. I have also packed the Prime Time primer by BareMinerals, which I ended up not using, because the foundation acts as a primer as well, filling in those big pores wonderfully. On business trips I don’t usually get much sleep so two concealers and the Bobbi Brown Eye Brightener are needed; for under eye circles the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind and for blemishes and everything else the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (for full review and how to get your hands on it super cheap ckick here). Two staples for my travel makeup bag are the NYC Big Bold bronzer in Manhattan and the Rimmel Stay Matte powder. For blush, I went for a peachy one like the Catrice Defining Blush in Love in Peach, and one pinky nude colour like the Fashionista one in Butterscotch. For brows the only product I need is the MAC Omega eyeshadow and I’m set!

The Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Barely Branded (check here for more color tatoos that I've added to my collection) and the Sephora 12H Jumbo Liner in Copper (click here for a full review on those) can be worn on their own for a bronzed eye makeup or as eyeshadow bases and they really make the colour of any eye shadow pop. The Essence Quattro in To Die For has become a staple because, apart from the wonderful nude shades, it includes a highlight shade as well. You always need 2 mascaras wherever you’re going, don’t you? That’s why I picked both the Maybelline The Rocket (click here for my thoughts on this one) and the Falsies to put in my makeup bag; and I did use both of them on different days! For tightlining my upper waterline I brought the Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in Black and from the same line the Nude one for highlighting my bottom waterline. I only went for liquid eyeliners for my cat flick and my top picks were the Catrice Waterproof eyeliner pen and the Collection Waterproof Fast Stroke Liquid Eyeliner both in Black. Also, for a nice pop of colour on the upper lid on days that I felt like it I brought the Catrice Longlasting Eyepencil in Petrol & the Wolf. A last minute addition that I didn’t capture in these shots was the MUA Dusk TillDawn palette, solely for the number 9 shade that it includes (and here’s a photo of me wearing it along with the Catrice liner! No lipstick there, I'd just had breakfast!).

I restrained myself on the lippies, just because I always find that the more I bring with me, the less I end up changing my lip colour! So, this time three of them were enough. The MAC Snob for days that I wanted to go bold with the eyes and subtle with the lips, the Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish in 09 and the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Showy for bold lip days and the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain in Cherish for any occasion really!

What are the staple products in your travel makeup bag?
