This tag has been going
around for a while now. The questions vary between candles, lipsticks, nail polish, tea… So how could I resist?
My all time favourite one
is Marshmallow Fireside by Bath & Body Works but I didn’t travel abroad this fall so I couldn’t get my hands on that one. Sandalwood Vanilla is my next in line. It is a sweet vanilla (dah)
scent blended with sandalwood and I think I can smell some caramel in there?
*sniffing* Yeah, a very sweet, divine scent!
Coffee, tea or hot
chocolate?
Definitely not hot
chocolate, although I love the taste everytime I drink it I feel sick
afterwards because it’s too thick in consistency. I drink 2-3 cups of coffee
everyday but this is more of a routine for me and not a beverage I truly enjoy.
I have grown into a huge tea lover the past year after I discovered the Celestial
Seasonings selection. Where I live we don’t really get a lot of brands and
different flavours of tea and the ones we have access to are not the most
tasty. I have been loving Chai tea and Apple Cinammon for the afternoons
and Sleepytime Vanilla for unwinding before bed.
What’s the best fall
memory you have?
Moving to the UK. That’s
where I experienced true fall weather! It was late September and it is the
whole concept of moving to a different country all on my own and meeting new
people from all over the world. Until now, the best autumn I’ve ever
experienced.
Which makeup trend do you
prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner?
Dark lips because I tend
to wear winged eyeliner all year long but I can’t pull off a vampy lipstick
during the warmer months.
Best fragrance for fall?
Warm Vanilla Sugar by Bath & Body Works; smells
exactly like it sounds, very sweet and the vanilla scent is very strong.
Favourite Thanksgiving
food?
Well, we don’t celebrate
Thanksgiving here but from what I’ve seen they have some pretty awesome dinner
over there! I definitely love mashed potatoes and turkey stuffing which we make
for Christmas day. Funny story: I once ate all the chestnuts that my mum has
roasted and peeled to put into the turkey, so we ended up having a chestnut free
stuffing! It was so ideal that I didn’t even have to peel them and I thought it
was so thoughtful of my mum!
What is autumn weather
like where you live?
We haven’t been
experiencing real autumn until a couple of weeks ago. It was really sunny and
warm this year and it was even too warm for a sweater. However now it is pretty
chilly, and it is a perfect autumn scenery with different leaf colours falling
off the trees.
It's an H&M one that I got during the mid season sale for just 10€. It's the perfect sweater to wear with leggings since it is longer at the back so that you don't flash people while walking at the street!
Must-have nail polish this
fall?
Well, that’s tough. I will go with Barry M Gelly in Plum because it was the first colour that I was really waiting for the weather to get cooler just to wear it.
Football games or jumping
in leaf piles?
I’ve never jumped in a
leaf pile and I confess that it seemed weird to me that people somewhere in the
world do that! It sounds kind of scary because you can really get hurt since
you are not jumping into a bouncy surface! I don’t really watch football games
either, when my fiancé does I go to a different room and do my stuff! So the
answer would be none!
Leggings or jeggings
simply because they are so comfy. Especially with the trend right now with
sweaters being longer at the back and shorter at the front you can were
leggings even at work and get away with it! Not that I have ever understood
why leggings are not acceptable as normal bottom clothing piece. My favourite pair this season is this Zara one which is a thick material and, as you can see in the photos, very high waisted. It has also got a design at the sides which creates the illusion of slimmer thighs. I got it from Zara for 20 €.
Combat boots or Uggs?
None! I never liked Uggs
and I hadn’t even purchased a pair when I lived in the UK and we had snow for
like a month (it would seem like a reasonable purchase back then simply for
survival purposes, but no!). Combat boots? No, it’s just not my style at all.
Is pumpkin spice worth the
hype?
Well, if we are talking
about pumpkin spice latte, no it’s not! It’s just a very sweetened beverage that
makes me feel sick, at least the one I had from Starbucks. If we are talking
about the combination of the different spices, yes! I’ve been obsessed with
pumpkin this fall and have baked a lot of different goodies that you use
pumpkin spice in and I really loved the smell and taste. Also, they don’t sell
it at the stores where I live so I've made my own for future baking!
Favourite fall TV show?
My all time favourite TV
show is Grey’s Anatomy but this fall I got hooked on a new show called
Hostages. Check the trailer here!
What song really gets you
into fall spirit?
For starters I didn’t know
there were fall songs! None to be honest, the weather getting chillier is the
one that gets me into the fall spirit really!
That was my tag lovelies!
I really enjoyed answering all of those questions!
I tag Notebook of Claire, Tickle Me Pink, Stars and Stellars, In Beauty Wonderland, Cute and Girly DMS
and Drugstore and Bargain Lover. If you haven't visited their blogs please do so because they are awesome! And obviously anyone of you! Feel free to post
your link in the comments below so I can read your version as well!
